Two men have been arrested in Bainton on drugs offences after they ran off from their car and were caught a short time later.

RCC won't move to 3 weekly black bin collections soon
Rutland won't be moving to a three weekly black bin collection any time soon, after a petition of over 2,000 signatures collected by MP Alicia Kearns called for the fortnightly collection to continue.

Local Govt Reorganisation: RCC only option
The leader of Rutland County Council says the only option currently open to Rutland is to work with the seven districts of Leicestershire in local government reorganisation, with a preferred approach to join Melton and Charnwood in a larger unitary authority.

First Osprey of the Season returns to Rutland Water
25 (10) who was born in Rutland, returned at 8.28 this morning. She was first back in 2023 and mated with 33(11) the regular male at Manton Bay, however when Maya arrived back, she reclaimed her nest!
