Football:

Frustration for the Daniels as they lost 2-1 at Redditch United. The winner coming in the 96th minute. This was after Jack Duffy had given them the lead on 4 minutes.

Uppingham Town are up to 2nd in the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League whilst extending their unbeaten league run to seven with a 5-0 win over Whittlesey Athletic Reserves. Cameron Cleaver hat-trick and a goal each for Finn Bishop and Sam Blackwell, whilst Oakham United lost 4-0 at Deeping United.

In Division 1 Stamford Bels made it win number fifteen, 2-0 over 2nd placed Whaplode Drove Rovers. Brace for Jordan Neil and a Josh Hollobon penalty save.

Bourne Town remain 3rd after their 3-1 win at league leaders Eastwood in the United Counties Premier Division North. The goals coming from Will Bird, Robbie Ellis and Dan Flack. Blackstones in Division 1 came back from 2-0 down at half-time to draw 2-2 at home to Stapleford Town thanks to goals from Harry Peasgood and Nathan Rudman.

Cottesmore went down 9-2 away at league leaders Desford in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. James Lewis and Leon Kavanagh with the Cottesmore goals.

Women’s football:

Stamford AFC are through to the next round of the Lincolnshire County Cup after a 3-0 home win over Sleaford Town. Emma Pollard for the second week running scoring a brace with Laura Dodwell the other.

Ketton Sports beat East Goscote 3-2 away in the Leicestershire and Rutland Howes Percival Women's Cup thanks again to a Sascha Smith double and Fran Kavanagh.

Deeping Rangers are out of the Lincolnshire County Women’s Cup after they suffered their first defeat of the season losing 6-1 at Grimsby Town Academy.

Youth Football:

Oakham United 3 – 6 AFC Barwell in the Invitation Trophy Under 17/18 2nd Round.

Cottesmore 2 – 2 AFC Andrews Tigers Under 16 League Cup 2nd Round (Cottesmore 4-1 on penalties).

Leicester & District Sunday Juniors League Under 15 - Football & Fitness Academy U15 Tigers 3–7 Cottesmore.

Peterborough & District Leagues:

Under 18 Division 1 – Nene Valley 5 - 1 Stamford Young Daniels

Division 2 - Holbeach United U18 Yellow 4-3 Ketton Sports.

Under 15 Division 3 - FC Peterborough 2–2 Ketton Sports

Rugby:

Stamford move on with win number seven and consolidate their position at the top of Counties 1 with a 36-24 victory at Stockwood Park. In the bottom of the table game Bourne lost at home 38-37 to Peterborough Lions.

In Counties 3, Stamford College Old Boys could not make it back-to-back wins losing 29-7 at 4th placed Rugby Lions. The 7 points coming from a Russ Polson try and Carl Brierley-Lewis conversion. Deepings were beaten at home by next to bottom Northampton Mens Own 32-10 to record their first win of the season.

Women’s rugby:

Stamford Storm drew 5-5 with Deeping/Boston and beat March/St Ives 17-7 with Georgina Mackinlay Player of the Match in the latest of the Inner Warrior Series of matches held at Deepings Rugby Club which also saw two players making their debuts for the Storm.
