Leicester City produced a great comeback from two goals down at Southampton to win 3-2. Buonanotte, Jamie Vardy penalty and the winner coming in stoppage time from Jordan Ayew.

Peterborough United lost 3-1 at Wycombe Wanderers despite taking the lead through Ricky-Jade Jones with substitute Richard Kone scoring a hat-trick inside 10 minutes.

The Daniels are up to third after lively encounter against Bromsgrove Sporting in their 3-2 win. Lee Shaw, Connor Bartle and James Blunden had put the Daniels 3-0 up, the visitors pulling one back just before half-time and adding a second mid-way in the 2nd half. Harry Crook sent off late for Bromsgrove Sporting.

In Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, Uppingham Town made it four league wins in a row 5-0 away to Leverington Sports. A Sam Blackwell hat-trick and goals from Josh Porter and Louie Mcalindon.

Deeping United suffered their fifth defeat in a row 5-2 at home to Stanground Cardea Sports whilst bottom club Wittering Premiair lost 4-1 away at Chatteris Town.

Oakham United’s game at Ramsey Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

In Division 1, Stamford Bels made it win number eleven as they brushed aside 3rd placed Netherton United 5-0 away. The goals from David Atkinson, Kieran Duffy-Weeks, Kieran Evans, Jordan Neil and Ewan Fieldhouse.

United Counties Premier North saw Deeping Rangers win their second league game of the season 2-1 at Gresley Rovers. Blackstones in Division 1 had to settle for a share of the points with Radford in a 1-1 draw, Cameron Harris with the goal.

Bourne Town are through to the FA Vase 2nd Round Proper on 9 November after their 4-1 win at Long Buckby.

Cottesmore suffered back-back to defeats as they lost 2-0 at Leicester Atletico in the Everards Brewery Premier Division.

Stamford AFC ladies made it easily through to next round of the Lincolnshire County Cup after they blew away their hosts Bottesford Town 11-0. Four goals from Emma Pollard making it six in two games, Zina Cheikh and Dani Waldron two each and the other goals from Laura Dodwell, Andreia Oliveira and Keira Swanson.

Ketton Sports returned to action but went down to their second league defeat of the season 3-2 away at Cambridge Rangers 1sts. Amy Newell and Sasha Smith the scorers.

Rugby: 

Counties 1 action saw Stamford make it four wins in a row as they comprehensively beat Peterborough Lions 39-3 away. A result that moves them up to 2nd from 3rd.

Bourne meanwhile travelled to Newbold on Avon and went down to their fourth defeat in a row as their hosts beat them 29-17.

In a tightly fought game in Counties 2, Oakham lost 10-3 at home to St Ives. The visitors scoring an early unconverted try with Oakham two minutes later missing a penalty. Ben Morton came close to a try for Oakham on the half-hour. St Ives doubled their advantage early in the second half with another unconverted try. Will Andrews pulled it back to 10-3 with a penalty with eleven minutes to go.

Counties 3 saw Stamford College Old Boys record their first league win of the season as they beat Aylestone Athletic 24-20. Callum Fraser, Jimmy Twose and Alex Walker scoring tries with Carl Brierley-Lewis converting all three tries whilst also adding a penalty.

Deepings game was Home Walk Over for 4th placed Rugby Lions.

Leicester Tigers made it three wins in a row but they had to come back from trailing 19-8 at half-time to scrape past Gloucester 29-26, a result that moves them up to third in the Premiership. The win meant the Tigers reclaimed the Ed Slater Cup which is contested in honour of the former Leicester and Gloucester captain, who is battling motor neurone disease.

Stamford Women went down 29-17 at home to league leaders Peterborough Ladies.
