Football:

Leicester City secured their first Premier league win beating Bournemouth 1-0 at home Buonanotte with the goal.

Peterborough United beat Stevenage 2-1 thanks to a Poku strike in stoppage-time.

The Daniels are out of the FA Trophy after losing 5-1 at home to Anstey Nomads. Richard Gregory given the hosts the lead but on 28 minutes, a straight red for Jack Duffy turned the game.

Uppingham Town lost 3-1 to Anstey Town in the Westerby Group Senior Cup after leading through Louie Vennie.

Peterborough and District Premier Division:

Oakham United away at Stanground Cardea Sports went down to their third league defeat in a row losing 3-1.

Wittering Premiair beaten 5-2 by FC Peterborough Reserves and are now bottom and Deeping United lost 5-0 at Leverington Sports.

Win number ten for Stamford Belvedere, 5-2 against Peterborough Rangers in Division 1.

Bourne Town made it four league wins in a row beating Kimberley Miners Welfare 2-1, Zacorie Allen and Zak Munton scoring and Deeping Rangers have their first win of the season, 2-1 away at 10-man Heanor Town, Callum Davies and Jonathan Lockie on target.

Blackstones suffered a surprise home defeat 2-1 to Dunkirk.

Cottesmore made it two league wins in a row with a 3-2 victory over Aylestone Park Reserves. James Lewis who had come on due to an injury on 20 minutes scoring a hat-trick.

Women’s football clubs:

Stamford AFC are safely through to the League Cup 2nd Round after an impressive 5-2 home win over Long Eaton United. Laura Dodwell with a hat-trick, Ellen Marson and Andreia Oliveira the other scorers.

Oakham United made it back-back league wins as they beat Thurmaston DPC 5-0, who they had lost to in their opening game of the season in September 4-2. For the second week running Zina Cheikh scoring 4 taking her tally to 10 league goals with Bethanie Munton again on target. It was the first clean sheet of the season kept by Lauren Hibbitt. The result moves them up to 5th in the Leicestershire Women’s Division 1.

Deeping Rangers maintained their 100% start and three wins in a row in the Cambridgeshire Women's League Division 2 with a 5-2 win at home to Chatteris Town Lilies, which moves them up to 2nd. The goals coming from Ali Stokoe brace, Yasmin Green, Zoë Devonport and Sasha Beresford.

Finally, in youth football, Blackstones beat Skegness Town 5-1 in the Northants County Under 18’s Boys Cup.

Rugby:

Leicester Tigers won 42-10 at Newcastle Falcons to go 2nd.

In Counties 1, Bourne lost 45-15 away at Leicester Vipers.

Stamford 2nds in late change to fixture beat Kettering 24-20.
