Walking to get people talking

A coach left Don't Lose Hope in Bourne before sunrise this morning as supporters climb Mount Snowdon.

Thousands of pounds has already been raised over the past few weeks with similar challenges for the charity. Dom Brister from Don't Lose Hope says every member of his group is doing it for a personal challenge too.

"We've pushed this not to be about the money. This is very much about the metaphor of climbing your own mountain. You know, for some people, they're taking a walk up a hill. For other people who really haven't done any form of serious walking, they are climbing a mountain. It's the second highest summit in the UK.

When they get to the top, because it will be when as opposed to if, when they get to the top, they will be potentially the second highest person in the UK. And it's not about, you know, how many thousands of pounds we can raise. We've done four years of walking challenges. And I've never come up with a tagline and it suddenly dawned on me.

We're walking to get people talking and that's now going to be emblazoned on everything we do."
