Owners of empty homes in Rutland can apply for a grant of up to £15,000
to help prepare their property, if they're prepared to let it to a household at risk of homelessness for at least five years. Rutland has over 200 empty homes that have been unoccupied for at least six months and the County Council is supporting over 60 families at risk from homelessness, with 16 in temporary accommodation due to a lack of available housing. The Empty Homes grant scheme is being administered by Rutland County Council.
