Defender Burghley Horse Trials is one of the most local competitions ever.
Ros Canter who was schooled at Uppingham rose through the ranks of the Burghley Pony Club and won the three day event for the first time this year after getting gold at the Olympics as part of Team GB just a few weeks earlier. Ros says it's a privilege to be at the top of her sport
‘It's very special to be here you know I've grown up coming to Burghley Horse Trials and you know, well, in Lincolnshire through and through and then going to school at Uppingham. Yeah. So it's all very local, which is just great. And to top it off Lordship Grapplers owner is also from Lincolnshire. So yeah, it's a real family affair this week’.
