Petition to protect Rutland's ceremonial status

A petition has been launched to protect Rutland's ceremonial status, whatever the outcome of local government reorganisation.

Alicia Kearns has teamed up with a Rutland blogger, who came up with the idea of being able to sign this in pubs across the county to support them too. The list of signatures will be presented in Parliament at the end of March, to time with the first government deadline for proposals. The petition is so far available at Alicia Kearns' constituency office on Market Street in Oakham and the George and Dragon at Seaton.
