Charlie who's 13 has had problems with his kidneys since he was 8, and for the last 18 months has been on regular dialysis. Despite having daily treatment. he's raised thousands of pounds for Kidney Research UK, and has a fundraising cake sale this Saturday morning in Oakham.
He's cycled, he's walked, and he's had his fellow students fundraising too, and for the last 18 months Charlie has to spend up to 10 hours a day having the toxins taken out of his body, as his kidneys now won't do the job for him. Charlie is awaiting a match for a transplant, and has dedicated his spare time to fundraising and spreading awareness of Kidney Disease. He's currently walking the equivalent of 1000 miles, and this Saturday morning, he's also holding a coffee and cake sale with raffle at Oakham's Congregational Church on the High Street, between 10am and midday.
