New booking system for North Luffenham Recycling Centre

As part of plans to return to a full service, a new booking system is to be introduced at North Luffenham Recycling Centre from 27 April.

For almost a year now, the North Luffenham Recycling Centre has had special Covid measures in place including a one way traffic system and special entry and exit procedures.

As part of plans to return to a full Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC) service by 21 June, Rutland County Council has confirmed that all temporary traffic restrictions around North Luffenham Recycling Centre will be lifted on Tuesday 27 April and a new exit gate at the site will be brought into use. In addition, a temporary booking system will be introduced, with residents required to book a 20-minute time slot in order to visit the site from Tuesday 27 April onwards. The Cottesmore HWRC site, which plans to reopen on 17th May, will also have a booking system in place.

Bookings to use North Luffenham Recycling Centre can now be made online by visiting: www.rutland.gov.uk/hwrcbooking. Anyone who is unable to book online because they do not have access to the internet can book by calling: 01572 722 577

From Tuesday 27 April, you will not be able to access North Luffenham Recycling Centre unless you have booked in advance. Opening times remain 10am to 6pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

The use of trailers at North Luffenham, currently not permitted, will be reviewed in May.
