MindSpace Wellbeing Garden open to families during Wednesdays in August

The Mindspace Wellbeing Garden

There's more support for mental health for families in Stamford from today.

MindSpace is extending its Wednesday gardening sessions to include children this month with activities for the whole family. The sessions run between 10:00 AM and midday at their site on Uffington Road. Jo Coulter from MindSpace Stamford says they hope it will help support families through August

‘A lot of the people that do come to the garden have kids at school so we thought we don't want to preclude them coming during the summer holidays and we want to actively encourage them to come along. So for the session on Wednesday morning between 10:00 and 12:00 we thought it would be really nice if we can have some kids come along as well with their parents to enjoy the space. So we're going to put on special activities for children so things like scavenger hunts, colouring, crafts, seed sowing. We will have cake and refreshments there as well so it would be a nice place for kids to come along with their parents or carers'.
