Lorry driver died at the scene of the A1 accident

Police have said the driver of a lorry involved in an accident on the A1 at Water Newton on Friday afternoon died at the scene.

A 43 year old man from Luton was driving the only vehicle involved. Cambridgeshire Police are asking anyone with information or with dash cam footage of the collision or the lorry beforehand to contact them. The incident happened at around 2:40pm on Friday afternoon south of the Wansford A-47 junction and the road was closed until the early hours of the following morning.
