The Daniels lost their unbeaten record in the Southern League Premier Central going down 1-0 to 3rd placed Banbury United, the winner coming in the 91st minute.

Peterborough and District Premier Division:

Oakham United lost 6-0 at home to league leaders FC Peterborough Reserves.

Uppingham Town move up to 6th after an impressive 5-0 win over Wittering Premiair. The goals coming from a Martin Turiccki hat-trick, Josh Porter and Noah Sinclair.

In the bottom of the table game, Deeping United beat Holbeach United Reserves 2-1.

The Sports Ground Development UCL Cup Preliminary Round saw Bourne Town win 5-0 including a Will Bird hat- trick home to Gresley Rovers and Deeping Rangers going through 5-4 on penalties after 1-1 at full time against Coventry United. Blackstones are out, losing 2-0 at home to Clay Cross Town.

Cottesmore picked up their first points of the season with a 3-1 win over Burbage and Huncote in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. Josh Clark with a brace from two solo efforts and Robbie Dance the scorers. Burbage scoring a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

Women’s football:

Stamford AFC had an impressive 6-2 home win over Ilkeston Town in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division.

Deeping United’s season in the Cambridgeshire Women’s Division 3 got off to a disappointing start at home losing 10-0 to Manea Sirens B team.
