Peterborough United suffered back-to- back home league defeats, losing to Wrexham 2-0. Former Posh striker Jack Marriot opening the scoring for the visitors.

In the first qualifying round of the FA Cup, the Daniels lost 1-0 away at Carlton Town with the winner coming in the 92nd minute.

Peterborough and District Premier Division:

Uppingham Town produced and good away win at Stanground Cardea Sports. The only goal of the game coming from Josh Sennett.

Deeping United beat Moulton Harrox 2-0 with Wittering Premiair going down 2-1 to Leverington Sports.

In the United Counties Premier Division North, Bourne Town returned to league action with a 5-0 home win over Shirebrook Town.

Bottom of the table Deeping Rangers lost 4-0 at Sleaford Town.

Blackstones could not make it five league wins in row losing 2-1 away at Coalville Town in Division 1.

Cottesmore still await their first oints of the season in the Everards Brewery Premier Division following a 2-0 defeat at Thurnby Rangers.

Women’s football:

Stamford AFC lost 2-1 away at SJR Worksop with Emma Pollard scoring the goal in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League – Premier Division, whilst Oakham United also on their travels going down 4-2 at Thurmaston DPC in the Leicestershire Women’s Division
