Last chance to buy bargain tickets for Rutland Lions Firework Display

Source: The Lions Club of Rutland CIO Facebook page

Today is the last day to buy the cheapest tickets for the Rutland Lions firework display.

It's taking place at the Rutland Showground as usual, but this year it's being held on Friday the 1st of November as James Richards Circus is also on the site at the same time. Online tickets for the Lions Fireworks increase in price at midnight tonight. Allan Grey from the Lions says they see it very much as a community event, starting with a quieter firework display aimed at younger children.

‘One of the things that we pride ourselves on is that we do have a professional firework display. In fact two displays the first one last thing about 8 minutes. Generally a little quieter, little more gentle for the smaller children and their families and then a slightly bigger one which lasts about 10 minutes after an interval of about 40 minutes that is a little bigger and little louder. But it is down on the showground. It is away from the majority of housing and certainly we let all of the land and livestock owners in the vicinity, we make them well aware of the event well in advance’.
