Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials

Cross country event at Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials

Over 180,000 people are expected to visit Stamford over the next four days as the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials event returns with much anticipation.

Royals, equestrian stars and members of the public will once again enjoy dressage, cross country and show jumping events across the Burghley Estate after a break of two years due to the Covid Pandemic. Another main attraction is the shopping and the Horse Trials will offer a wide range of shopping opportunities. The trade stands have been carefully selected and curated, according to the new Event Director, Martyn Johnson, who says, "We wanted to keep the standard high and make sure that when people come back, they enjoy the same experience."

There has already been the first local success as the Cottesmore Pony Club won the 2022 LeMieux Pony Club Team Show Jumping trophy today. Congratulations to Florence, Hettie, Katie and Amber.

Rob Persani will be keeping you up to date with the top eventing competition over the next few days with interviews and news.
