Driver arrested on drugs and driving charges

Image Rutland Police

A car has been stopped after police suspected it was bringing drugs into Uppingham.

On seeing the police car yesterday, the driver diverted towards Leicester. Uppingham's new Beat Bobby stopped the vehicle and found the driver was wanted by a different county for drugs offences. He was not insured to drive the car either, so was arrested on drugs and driving charges.
