Thousands of dogs and their handlers are descending on the Rutland Showground for the Kennel Club's International Agility Festival.
The event, which is open to the public from today, attracts competitors from abroad as well as from across the country and runs until Sunday. It's free to attend and open to the public and you can take your own dog along. There is a charge for parking. Helen Kerfoot is Chief Canine Health Events and Activities Officer at the Kennel Club and says they always enjoy coming to Rutland.
‘We will have something like 700 dogs competing. It's a huge event and everybody is welcome to come and see what goes on. It's a fantastic showground and there's more and more dog events happening here. This has been our home for the last four years and it's just ideally situated and the facilities here are fantastic’.
