The build of this year's Defender Burghley Horse Trials is underway near Stamford, ready for the five Star equestrian competition from the 5th to the 8th of September.
The central pedestrian route through Burghley Park is now closed for the safety of visitors until the 1st of September and then again for taking down the course from the 10th to the 20th of next month. The house and all the visitor facilities open as normal every day, with the exception of when the Horse Trials are open to the public.
