Leicester City despite a promising start suffered a third straight league defeat after leading Liverpool at half-time 1-0 through a goal on 6 minutes from Jordan Ayew. The league leaders fought back to win 3-1, a result that puts the Foxes into the bottom three.
Peterborough United suffered a 3-0 home defeat to drop them to 17th. The damage was done in the first half with the visitors three up in 31 minutes. To compound a disappointing afternoon for the Posh, central defender George Nevett received a straight red card on 86 minutes.
In the Lincolnshire derby, the Daniels had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Spalding United. Robert Morgan with a penalty on 9 minutes had put the Daniels ahead only to be cancelled out in the 90th minute.
Bourne Town continued their unbeaten winning run in the United Counties Premier Division North as they secured a 3-0 home win against Harrowby United thanks to a Tom Siddons brace and Zak Munton goal. The result moves to them to within a point of league leaders Eastwood with a game in hand.
Deeping Rangers drew 1-1 with visitors Wisbech Town.

Leicester City remain in the relegation zone as they suffered their fourth defeat in a row losing to Manchester City 2-0 at home. Savinho with his first goal for the club put the visitors ahead on 21 minutes with the second coming on 74 minutes when Savinho turned provider for Haaland to score.
Peterborough United went down to back-to-back home defeats, 3-1 to Barnsley, which sees them drop to 18th with just one league win in seven. Two goals early in the 2nd half from Donovan Pines and Davis Keillor-Dunn putting the visitors in charge. Posh did pull one back on 74 minutes through a penalty from Malik Mothersille. Only for the second game in a row to be reduced to 10 men as substitute Harley Mills got a straight red on 81 minutes. Barnsley taking full advantage adding a third through Jon Russell on 86.
The Daniels completed the league double over Stourbridge with a 2-0 away win. Jack Duffy opened the scoring on 13 minutes which was doubled from the penalty spot in the 59th minute by Tobias Liversidge.
Cottesmore last action of 2024 saw them suffer a heavy loss at home, 7-2 to Highfield Rangers in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. This was after being 2-2 on 42 minutes with both goals coming from Leon Kavanagh.

Leicester Tigers Handre Pollard produced a dramatic last-minute conversion following a try from substitute Dan Cole to ensure a 34 all draw away at Harlequins thus avoiding three Premiership defeats on the bounce.
