Celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with live music, dancing, tasty food and more at Stamford Town Council’s free family-friendly event on May 10!
Our VE Day Celebration will take place at the Recreation Ground to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe on May 8, 1945. Step back in time with performances from the Vintage Singers and Rutland Big Band, dance in the marquee, and explore historical exhibitions.
There will be face painting, fairground rides, and plenty of refreshments, including a licensed bar and a WI tea and cake stall. Feel free to dress the part in 1940s attire!
