Rutland International Cicle Classic

The longest running one day international cycle race in the country, with 33 teams and over 170 riders. The course is 180km, and for the first time it starts and ends at Oakham Market Place (due to roadworks on the edge of Melton).
Also Oakham Castle is open 10am-4pm with stalls and bikeability instructors with cycle based activities, there's a food drink & craft fair with stalls in Mill Street and Gaol Street, as well as Victoria Hall. Many shops are open too.

Route for Cicle Classic:
11am Roll-out Start at Oakham Market Place out to Stamford Road roundabout, left onto Burley Park Way, Ashwell Road
11.10am Actual start at Oakham Enterprise Park, onto Teigh, Edmondthorpe, Wymondham, towards Coston, Sewstern, back into Wymondham along Main Street (2 laps), Ashwell, Burley on the Hill
12.20pm Pass through Oakham
Onto Manor Lane Barleythorpe, towards Cold Overton, Langham onto A606, Northfield Lane, Cold Overton to Somerby, Knossington, Owston, Newbold, Burrough On The Hill, (several laps), then Wymondham, Edmondthorpe, Teigh, Market Overton, Cottesmore, Ashwell, Burley On The Hill, into Oakham on Station Road
3.30pm Finish at Oakham Market Place
Rutland & Stamford Sound will have regular updates, also a stand in Oakham Market Place
