More Information (Rutland and Stamford Sound is not responsible for external websites)

By kind permission of the Director of Music, Major Lawrence Sale, The Waterloo Band & Bugles of 7 Rifles presents a Charity Concert.
This is a charity event raising funds for the Stamford Royal British Legion, a charity that provides recovery and rehabilitation support to current serving and ex-service personnel who are wounded, injured or sick. The same support is also available for those who are experiencing multiple challenges such as being out of work, dealing with mental health problems, financial issues and alcohol abuse.
The Waterloo Band & Bugles of The Rifles is an Army Reserve band based at Edward Brooks Barracks in Abingdon near Oxford. Under the baton of their Director of Music, the Band & Bugles take part in a wide variety of events throughout the year ranging from Concerts to Marching displays and Sounding Retreat Ceremonies.
They have performed in many high-profile events and in some iconic locations, these include: The Rifles Sounding Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, Changing the Guard at Windsor Castle, Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, the Basel Tattoo, the Bermuda Tattoo and performing at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Rifles have a rich history and their traditions, still upheld today, can be traced back through their antecedent regiments – including the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
